Zarica & Friends Expedition.

National Museum of the
Philippines

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Luneta Park

Our first destination at the Philippine Map at the Rizal Park also known as Luneta Park.

We're entering now at the National Museum. We visit there on January 31, 2015 Saturday 8:00 AM and we arrived 9:45 AM. But the National Museum opens 10:00 AM so we wait for 15 minutes. And we also pay P50.00 for the entrance.

The Ifugao House

At the first sight you wouldn't expect that it was a house because it looks like a pyramid with four posts but when you look inside it has three levels and my presumption that the ifugaos are very tall persons because the distance from ground to second level are uncertain to me because i'm short. Finally i found that Ifugao House has a removable ladder to avoid them from rats and other plague.

The Maitum Jar

The Maitum Jar a pottery use as the secondary jars.

The Philippine Weaving

It looks very different sewing machine today. But it seems that the fabric made to this are durable.

    The Rizal monument

The Rizal Monument now. Its seems that Rizal monument are many improvement comparing to the apperance of it before.

Sarus crane,Spot-billed pelican, Catfish, Leech and
Philippine Eagle.

I was amazed with that 5 animals specially with the spot-billed pelican. It's bill was very large it supposedly can swallow a new born baby.

      The Lapu-Lapu monument

 The Commonwelth      The Butuan
 of the Philippines   ivory seal

An ivory stamp seal associated with a shell midden dated 9th-12th century was found in Libertad, Butuan City in Agusan del Norte (southern Philippines). Inscribed on the seal is the word Butban in stylized Kavi. The script has a similarity to the Tagalog script.

The "Isang Kabibeng Midden" and "Ang Haliging Balobok"

This is my most favorite inside the National Museum I didn't notice it first then suddenly I recline to the wall and I detect that it was a clam specially to the "Isang Kabibeng Midden".

In this expedition I enjoy at the same time I get knowledge on how people living in that time and and I'm glad because at a long time ago I've seen in person what are the things they are using and hoping that the next generation or my children will also see the graceful of the artifacts inside the National Museum of the Philippines.
